MAUNDY THURSDAY – Apr. 1
7:30 p.m. Liturgy for Maundy Thursday in the Church, followed by Night Vigil in the Chapel.
Choir music for Maundy Thursday includes the Renaissance motet “in monte Oliveti” and Psalm 22 (“My God, my God, why hast Thou forsaken me?”) sung in plainchant.
GOOD FRIDAY – Apr. 2
10:30 a.m. Stations of the Cross for families, presented by the Rite 13 Class: a reminder of the hours leading up to Jesus’ death on the cross for us. Begins in the Chapel with Rev. Audrey.
Choir music for Good Friday includes “God so loved the world” from John Stainer’s “Crucifixion.”
HOLY SATURDAY – Apr. 3
9:00 a.m. Holy Saturday Liturgy. Altar Guild meeting follows.
7:30 p.m. The Great Vigil of Easter
Choir music for the Great Vigil includes the “Exsultet,” psalms in plainchant and selections from Handel’s “Messiah.”
EASTER – Sun., Apr. 4
The Great Feast of the Resurrection of the Christ
8:15 & 10:15 a.m. Festival Service of the Holy Eucharist for Easter Sunday
Easter Reception follows both services, Parish Hall.
Easter Egg Hunt follows the 10:15 service.
Music for Easter includes the choir anthem “A Song to the Lamb” by Gerre Hancock, and “Regina Caeli” by Francesco Soriano. "Trumpet and pipes, loud clashing cymbals, sing to the Lord a new song!"
