Rev. Audrey is a life-long member of the Episcopal Church and a graduate of General Theological Seminary. She began serving at St. James in 2007. An important part of her ministry is helping children and youth build a life-long relationship with God. Rev. Audrey serves on the Diocesan Prison Ministry Committee, the Liturgy Committee, the Board of the diocese’s Nutley Senior Manor, and is a past Trustee of the Diocese. She has served in urban and suburban parishes in the Diocese of Newark.

Rev. Sharon recently returned to St. James, where she served as seminarian while earning her Master of Divinity degree at Drew Theological School, Madison. A lifelong Episcopalian and longtime member of the diocese, she was ordained a priest in 2019. She has served as priest-in-residence at St. John’s, Boonton; as associate at Christ Church, Newton; as supply clergy throughout the diocese; as an alternate deputy to General Convention; and as a member of the diocesan prison committee. Rev. Sharon also is a prison chaplain. Her first career was as a reporter and editor, and her byline still appears occasionally in church publications.

The Rev. Dr. Walter E. Lewis, Associate Priest
Rev. Walter was graduated from Virginia Theological Seminary in 1964, and ordained to the Priesthood in 1965. Since ordination, he has served parishes in the dioceses of Washington, D.C. and Newark, including St. James as Associate Rector (1972-77). He received a Doctor of Ministry degree from Drew University in 1983.

Sean joined the staff of St. James in March 2012 serving as the organist and choir master. He has served in music ministry for more than 25 years. Sean is a graduate of Westminster Choir College and studied harpsichord performance at The Juilliard School. Sean also enjoys performing regularly on the church's 11 bell tower chimes.

With a 30+ years in financial services, most recently for Americans for Financial Reform, Alexa brings administrative experience associated with bank exams and risk management. She holds a masters from the Yale School of Management, and a B.A. in Political Science from Barnard College.
